Christopher G. Shaw, CHMM is a specialist in environmental science and works with communities to find innovative solutions to brownfield redevelopment projects; as well as assisting owners and developers in solving their environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance issues. Chris is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and an Asbestos Inspector in Indiana, and holds a BS degree in Environmental Science from Ball State University.

Chris' extensive experience and expertise as a respected brownfield consultant brings a high level of value to SME's clients throughout the Midwest. With 22 years of experience in environmental consulting, he has managed a wide range of site investigation and remediation projects involving contaminated soil and groundwater, and has significant experience with industrial environmental compliance.

When Chris is not busy solving problems for clients, he enjoys hiking an spending time with his family.

The City of Muncie's revitalization plan includes the Kitselman Trailhead, a new eastern gateway to the City. SME worked closely with this Indiana community to assess 51 acres of blighted buildings and former landfills.
