Michael (Mike) S. Meddock, PE, CPSM is responsible for overseeing and coordinating SME’s services in Indiana, including project management, technical report review, project planning and business development. He provides day-to-day management of SME’s Indianapolis office and works with more than 22 communities across Indiana to secure federal U.S. EPA Brownfield redevelopment grant funding. He also provides expertise to owners and communities on brownfield redevelopment projects. Mike is a registered Professional Engineer in Indiana and Ohio. He is a proud recipient of SME's President’s award.

Solving problems for clients and helping them be successful on their projects and in business is Mike’s passion. He revels in building lasting professional and personal relationships while finding opportunities to help clients meet their goals. This passion culminated in Mike’s research in the Fundamentals of Professional Practice (FOPP) program, where he implemented and championed SME’s internal Build-a-Practice program.

Mike feels fortunate to work on a myriad of projects for clients that have been transformational to communities, especially with brownfield redevelopment, starting with helping to secure grant money that enables the process to start. He enjoys working with clients to find solutions that make redevelopment a reality and the lynchpin to transforming a community.

With an ability to see the big picture, Mike identifies obstacles and proactively assembles a team of skilled professionals to solve these problems and make the project a success. He also excels in identifying funding sources and securing such funding for his clients. He has the ability to look at a project from a multi-disciplined view to help clients understand what challenges may lie ahead and plan for successful solutions.

Mike has served as Past ASCE Michigan Section, Southwestern Branch board member (past secretary, Vice President and President), and currently serves as SMPS secretary and sponsorship chair. He is an active member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Indiana Chapter. In 2016, Mike became a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) through the SMPS, and he is currently serving as their Education Director.

In his time away from the office, Mike is an avid runner who also enjoys biking and watching football.
