Wendell G. Solomon, PE
Senior Project Engineer
Geotechnical Services
Wendell G. Solomon, PE is as a Senior Project Engineer with 11 years of experience. He specializes in field monitoring systems, construction documentation, process improvement and process control. Wendell has participated in construction projects in many several parts of the country, and has been involved with many instrumentation projects to measure and monitor displacement and pressure during construction. Wendell has BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Indiana and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Specializing in the installation of deep foundations, Wendell is known for his expertise in geotechnical instrumentation and has successfully led some of the largest projects in central Indiana. He finds solving problems very rewarding and has a knack for breaking complex problems into small, simple components. He is at his best when a problem is multidimensional and doesn’t fit cleanly into defined categories. Driven by an inherent need to help make things incrementally better in the world around him, he takes his professional and personal growth seriously. He is most proud of his master’s thesis, which expanded his personal limits and brought him great satisfaction.

Away from the office, Wendell keeps his mind active with philosophy, books and movies. Woodworking projects, boating, cycling, camping and hiking keep him physically active. A self-proclaimed sports agnostic, you will not find Wendell visiting many sporting events. Instead, you will find him sincerely enjoying time with his wife and young son.
