Location: Shelby Township, Michigan

SME is seeking a regular, full-time Project Engineer to join our Construction Materials Services group in our Shelby Township, Michigan office.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Attending project and client meetings, preparing project proposals, managing project budgets and scopes;
• Reviewing Construction Materials Services reports;
• Training/mentoring Team Members;
• Working collaboratively on teams, creatively solve problems, and building successful relationships with clients.

Requirements for this position includes:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Professional Registration or E.I.T. status with ability to obtain licensing within 6 months.
• Excellent communication, report writing and customer relations skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new challenges and learn new concepts.
• A willingness to work hard in an efficient and organized manner and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• A clean driving record and experience driving in the U.S.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, on an as-needed basis.
