Harless Named Vice President of the Michigan Aerospace Foundation

James Harless, PhD, CHMM, a Vice President and Principal of SME, has been elected Vice President of the Michigan Aerospace Foundation.

The sister organization to the Yankee Air Museum, the Foundation aims to plan and fund expansion of the Museum’s facilities.

Dr. Harless and the Foundation are working diligently on the “Save the Bomber Plant" campaign to preserve and restore a portion of the former WWII B24 Liberator Bomber Plant at Willow Run. The restored structure will become the new home of the National Museum of Aviation and Technology, currently known as the Yankee Air Museum.

SME is supporting the effort by providing environmental and building condition assessment services.
