Why become a Master’s Student Summer Intern at SME? You’ll get a chance to have real responsibility from day one, not just look over someone else’s shoulder. And, you’ll be taking a huge step toward setting a course for your life’s work!

SME’s Master’s Student Summer Internship is designed to provide a rewarding experience in preparation of a career in consulting practices. Our program provides daily, hands-on opportunities in Geotechnical, Structural, Environmental, or Facilities and Infrastructure engineering. You’ll get to work with some of the finest professionals in consulting practice! We also offer our Master’s Summer Interns great benefits.

You’ll learn more than you thought possible about consulting engineering and you can put your coursework to good, practical, hands-on use, interacting with construction managers, contractors and design professionals. The work is challenging. It’s not for everyone. But, if you make the cut, we’re certain you’ll be a better person for the experience!

The more you learn, the more responsibility you’ll get. Summer Internship positions are available for Civil Engineering students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree program and, at minimum, have been accepted to a Master’s program or have started coursework in a Master’s program in the areas of:

  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Pavement Engineering
  • Structural Materials or Building Enclosure Engineering

We put a fun twist on orientation! Check out these highlights from our recent safe driving training for Co-ops and new Full-Time Team Members. This is how we roll!

We’d love to hear from you!
