Since 2013, SME has served as Lead Consultant to provide Construction Materials Services, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Consulting, and General Engineering Services to the City of Cleveland. Working directly with the Division of Engineering and Construction, SME has provided the professional services needed to support quality design and construction of City of Cleveland projects. SME is currently in the fourth term of the contract.

SME leads a team of 15 firms that provide various design services for the City of Cleveland. SME’s team is involved in bridge, retaining wall, slope stabilization, basic traffic signals, land acquisition, and roadway rehabilitation/reconstruction projects.

City of Cleveland Tree Damaged Sidewalks Program

The program reached over $1mm in sidewalk and tree removal services. SME managed sidewalk marking and removal, concrete placements for the new sidewalks, coordinated with the tree removal and replacement contractor, and engaged in public relations with local residents.
