SME Promotes Team Members to Key Laboratory Positions

SME is pleased to announce the promotion of Nick Atkins and Seth Molenaar to Assistant Group Leader for Laboratory Services.

Nick manages SME’s laboratory in Plymouth, Michigan. He manages, coordinates, and assists with laboratory testing in the areas of soils and bituminous concrete, as well as masonry and concrete evaluations. He performs the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) QA/QC process for bituminous extractions, concrete strength testing, concrete admixture certifications and various geotechnical laboratory testing. Nick has been with SME since 2010 and has more than 15 years of laboratory experience.

Seth is SME’s Laboratory Services Coordinator and is responsible for maintaining certifications and accreditations for SME’s Cleveland, Ohio laboratory. With more than 20 years of experience, Seth also manages quality assurance and quality control for all of SME’s laboratories and is responsible for the complex geotechnical tests. He has 10+ years of geotechnical field testing which includes inclinometer and piezometer readings using different types and models of equipment.
